About Paul
My first career was as a recording engineer, and I worked in that field for several years before graduating from Fordham University with my Master's in Social Work in 2008. I have been working in the field of social work since that time. I am married with three children, and we live in Rockland County, New York. I enjoy hiking, biking, playing guitar, and spending time with my friends and family in my free time.
My work puts relationships at the core of the therapeutic work. I believe therapy works best when you and your therapist are compatible. My belief is healing can happen when there is a sense of unity and safety. I encourage you to reach out and see if we would be a good match. Therapy is a commitment, and I want to answer any questions you might have.
The strategies that I teach depend on what is needed. For adults, I primarily teach Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, which help with extreme thinking, behaviors, moods, and relationships. Cognitive behavior Therapy (CBT) skills help change our thinking patterns in order to improve our mood. I also teach skills for anger management, sleep disorders, trauma, and mood disorders.
